October 5th - October 9th

 Hello EES Families, 

I hope everyone enjoyed their weekend! This is what we will be doing this week:

LA: Focusing on name recognition, letters in your name, and letters in the alphabet

Math: Focusing on identifying and representing values from 1-10

Science: This week we will be making slime

Art: We will be making puff paint, and paint a picture

Functional Living: We will continue working on our restaurant unit. We are practicing sorting utensils, setting a table, and using our words to order off a menu.

Cooking: This week we will be practicing our chopping skills.

Important Information: There is no school October 12th

 Hello Families,

I hope everyone had a great weekend! Its hard to believe it is almost October!

This is what we will be doing this week:

LA: Name recognition, learning the letters in our name, learning how to spell our names

Math: Learning and representing the values of different numbers

Science: This week we will be making our own fluffy slime

Art: We will be making watercolor salt trees

Functional Living: We will practice how to set the table

Cooking: We will be practicing our chopping skills this week

September 21- 25

 Hello Families,

I hope you all had a great weekend! This is what we will be doing this week:

LA: Focusing on identifying the letters in our name, as well as the letters in the alphabet

Math: Focusing on counting and creating values up to 5

Science: We will be making our own lava lamp sensory bags

Art: We will be making a monster craft

Functional Living: We will practice sorting cutlery and setting the table

Cooking: We will practice stirring and make juice

Important Information: There is no school on Friday September 25th

September 1 - 4, 2020

  Welcome back!

We are so excited to be back in the classroom! This week we welcomed all students on a staggered entry approach. Half joined us for learning on Tuesday and Wednesday; the other half joined us on Thursday and Friday. 

All students had a chance to familiarize themselves with their new classrooms and routines. We practiced regular sanitization and wore our masks when possible. 

In Art, we made heart-shaped name tags.

In Science, we made colourful, frothy volcanoes!

We are excited to welcome everyone next week. Enjoy the long weekend!

March 16th - March 19th

Hello Everyone!

I hope you all stayed warm this weekend! This is what we will be doing this week:

LA: Letter identification, letter sounds, and sight word focus. Please check out our class twitter to see some of the literacy games we have been playing.

Math: Number identification, addition and subtraction focus. Again, we will be looking closely at different math questions to find out if we are adding or subtracting.

Functional Living: This week we will continue practicing setting a table, sorting utensils, and folding.

Communication: This week we will be discussing the words "yes" and "no". We will be reading lot's of social stories to support our understanding.

- Parent Teacher Conferences have been postponed

March 9th- March 13th

Hello Room 1,

I hope everyone had a fun weekend! Only 2 more weeks before Spring break! This is what we will be doing this week:

LA: Focusing on our letters and sight words. We are loving our alphabet soup station where we build different letters and words out of our sponge letters.

Math: Focusing on counting, addition, and subtraction. We are using number blocks and lego builders to support our adding.

Communication: We will will be working on the words big and little.

Sensory: This week we will continue playing with our Easter themed sensory tubs!

I hope everyone had a fun weekend! We had so much fun at our field trip last week! This is what we will be doing this week:

LA: Focusing on our letters and sight words. We are loving our alphabet soup station where we build different letters and words out of our sponge letters.

Math: Focusing on counting and addition. We are using number blocks to support our adding.

Communication: We will continue to work on understanding the words yes and no.

Sensory: This week we will be playing with our Easter themed sensory tubs!
