June 28th - 29th

 Hello Families,

This is our last week of school! We only have 2 days this week.

This is what we will be doing this week:

Language Arts: We will be playing our favorite sight word/letter games

Math: We will be playing number Bingo!

Cooking: We will practice cutting watermelon

PE: We will be playing some of our favorite games including Freeze Dance, Toilet Tag, and Animal Tag

Art: This week we will be making some thank you cards, for people who have helped us out so much this year!

June 21st - June 25th

 Hello Everyone!

We hope everyone enjoyed the weekend! This is our last full week of school! This is what we will be doing:

Language Arts: We will continue focusing on letters, our first and last names, and sight words. Last week we played the game Swat. When an adult calls the letter/sight word, you have to quickly swat the fly that has the letter/sight word on it. We will play it again this week!

Math: We will keep working on learning our numbers, creating values, and adding. We are loving our Jack Hartman counting songs!

Art: This week we will be making the bus driver a thank you card! 

Cooking: This week we will be using cookie cutters to cut pieces of watermelon.

June 14th - June 18th

 Hello EES Families! 

We hope you all had a great weekend, and enjoyed the sun! Can you believe we only have 2 and a half more weeks of school? This year has flown by! This is what we will be doing this week:

Language Arts: We are loving the Barefoot Books! Last week we sang Riding my Tractor, and If You're Happy and You Know It. Feel free to search them on YouTube to listen and sing along at home. 

Math: We are working hard at our math centers. We are focusing on creating different values and our adding and subtracting. Every Thursday we play number Bingo! It's a hit!

Cooking: This week we will practice our spreading skills. We will be spreading jam on rice cakes. Yum! We will also practice appropriate table manners.

Art: This week we will be making paper popsicles. We will be decorating them with stickers, pom poms, glitter, and shapes. 

PE: We have been practice throwing and catching balls. We also have been loving our movement games, where we move like different animals.

Important Information:

- IPP's will be coming home this week Please sign them and send them back as soon as possible. Thank you!

November 30th - Decemeber 4th

 Hello EES Families!

I hope you all had a great weekend! This is what we will be doing this week:

LA: Focusing on letters, spelling our names, and sight words

Math: Focusing on creating and representing different numbers

Science: We will be learning that ice is cold, we will practice melting ice with warm water

Art: We will make paper snowflakes to decorate the classroom

Important Information:

- No school on Friday December 4th

- Reminder we will be learning in school until December 18th

 Hello Everyone!

I hope you all had a great weekend! This is what we will be doing this week:

LA: Focusing on letters, sight words, and printing.

Math: Focusing on counting, creating different values, and starting addition.

Science: We will mix oil and water with one Alka-Seltzer, I wonder what will happen!

Art: We will be making puff paint pictures.

October 26th - 29th

 Hello Families,

I hope you all stayed warm this weekend! This week on Thursday we will be having a Halloween party! Feel free to come to school dressed up in a costume, in pajama's, or whatever you are comfortable in! This is what we will be doing this week:

LA: Working on letter recognition and lot's of printing practice

Math: Focusing on creating and recognizing values from 1 - 20

Science: This week we will be doing a cool experiment with pepper, water, and dish soap

Art: We will be practicing our cutting skills and making paper flowers

Cooking: We will learn how to make toast, we will practice safely putting bread into the toaster, and spreading jam on top

Important Information:

- No school Friday

- Parent teacher interviews Thursday 4 - 6:30, and Friday 8:30 - 12:30

- Halloween party on Thursday, feel free to dress up!

 Hi Everyone!

I hope you all had a great weekend! This is what we will be doing this week:

LA: Focusing on learning the letters in our name, and other letters in the alphabet

Math: Creating, counting and representing values from 1-20

Science: We will be making a lava lamp with sensory beads 

Art: We will be making corn and the cob, practicing our painting and cutting skills

Functional Living: We will practice sorting cutlery and setting the table

Cooking: We will practice spreading, and spread jam onto a cracker
